(Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia-February, 3rd 2022)
MTB Atlanta has engaged Troup County volunteers and land managers to work on the Lakeside Trails and at Pyne Road Park on West Point Lake. We are looking to mobilize a volunteer crew to support our work.
Love trails? Want to learn how to build and maintain them and run a Volunteer Crew to get it done?
Join us at the Lakeside Trails for our first Trail Crew Leader Class in Troup County with the Army Corps of Engineers on Saturday and Sunday, March 5th and 6th, 9-4 each day.
Volunteers are essential to construct and maintain the trails you love to ride, run or hike on public lands. MTB Atlanta is taking the lead in Trails Education in North Georgia and will partner on this event with the US Army Corps of Engineers at the Lakeside trails at West Point Lake to teach sustainable trail construction and maintenance to support our work on trails in Troup County at Lakeside and Pyne Road Park.
This class is free to all attendees who want to learn how to run a volunteer group to maintain and build sustainble trails on public land. There is a 20 person max attendance.
