Kurt returns to the Board for a third term as Advocacy Director for Youth Cycling and South Metro/Fayette County.
Kurt says ” I enjoy riding all forms of cycling but my favorite is mountain biking. I love exploring new trails and the challenge of technical single track.
I joined MTB Atlanta to support trail development and be the local advocate for Fayette County.
I have a strong passion for educating the youth about mountain biking and helping advance their skills which led to the development of the SWAY MTB Club
the Southwest Atlanta Youth Mountain Bike Club (SWAY). This club has grown to encompass over 100 youth riders in 2022.
I manage our Junior Rippers program (ages 6-12) which is going into its fifth season this spring. This program is unlike any other in the state where its partnered with our local county parks and rec department – Coweta County.
I’ve coached middle / high school mountain bike riders with the Georgia Cycling Association for 4 years and have been the head coach for the Line Creek Shredders composite team for the past 2 years.
By day, I’m a mechanical engineer in the aviation industry. While not working on home projects, you’ll find me riding trail with my 3 kids! “
