MTB Atlanta Board Nominations-Due 12/15/18
Do you love mountain biking, off road cycling, outdoor recreation, trail building and trails in general? Do you have a passion for conservation, giving back and building opportunity and community? Know anyone else who does as well?
Every two tears we accept nominations and have elections for our volunteer board. We would love for you to get involved or nominate someone that you think would be a super advocate for mountain biking and recreational trails in Metro Atlanta.
MTB Atlanta is always looking for new members for our board to help build capacity in our work with trails, inclusivity, women’s cycling, youth cycling, membership, social events and bike parks and urban cycling.
We are looking for At Large members and a Membership Director, Women’s Cycling Advocate, and Social Director.
Deadline for nominations are Saturday 12/15 and elections will be open until the 31st.
Email your nominations with a brief bio and a paragraph on what you want to achieve with us to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will fill you in on the rest once you submit your nomination.
Thanks and spread the word!

Bike VIP Class at CRNRA March 31st
The Chattahoochee National Recreation Area and MTB Atlanta are partnering for a Bike VIP (Volunteers in Park) program to establish a volunteer presence in the Park and the shared use trails at Sope Creek. Do you enjoy helping others and riding your bike? The Park is looking for people who are CPR/First Aid certified to be “moving sign posts” for the Park and the trails. While you ride, you can record trail conditions, help others with way finding, help respond to emergency and first aid needs of other trail users and help promote good trail etiquette for all trail users.
The Park has a 4 hour orientation class which will run Saturday, March 31st from 12-4. If you want to participate in the program you will also have to be CPR/First Aid certified. If you do not have this certification, you can sign up with the Park for the certification for free.
When you accumulate 40 volunteer hours with the CRNRA, you qualify for a free yearly parking pass a $45 value. Over 200 hours, you get a Volunteer Pass to all National Parks in the US. The CRNRA also has a yearly volunteer appreciation lunch and great swag. You also get a free membership to the Chattahoochee Parks Conservancy, the Friends Group of the Park.
If you ride Sope Creek often and love the CRNRA we encourage you to join this program.
